Visits to the National Congress
Visitation to the National Congress is free and takes place in an integrated manner between the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Mediators from both Houses take turns leading the groups. The duration of the visit route is about 50 minutes.
Tours are offered on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as weekends and Brazilian public holidays. Currently tours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are suspended.
Weekday tours in languages other than Portuguese must be booked at least until 5 p.m. of the previous day.
Tours may be cancelled due to force majeure and/or security reasons. We will try to notify the contact person as far in advance as possible. However, due to last-minute occurrences, cancellation may occur without prior notice.
Identification
Personal identification is mandatory for all visitors aged 12 or older
Visitors aged 11 or younger must be accompanied by their legal guardians
Visitors must present original identification documents; photographs, photocopies or scanned prints are not accepted

Dress Code
On weekdays, the administrative rules do not allow visitors to wear: shorts, sleeveless T-shirts, slippers, miniskirts. These restrictions do not apply to children under 12.
Important
It is forbidden to carry weapons or any object that may cause accidents or injuries.
It is forbidden to drink alcoholic beverages during the visitation.
Photographing and filming without flash are allowed, except in plenary sessions.
As Congress encourages sustainable practices, it is recommended to bring a reusable bottle or glass to drink water.
